APPLETON, Wis. — CJ Filipek homered and drove in four runs Sunday to lead the Lawrence University baseball team to a 5-3 Midwest Conference win over Grinnell College at Whiting Field. The win gave Lawrence a series win over the Pioneers after the teams split a doubleheader on Saturday. Filipek went 3-for-4 with a homer, two doubles, four runs batted in and two runs scored. Lawrence (11-12, 5-4 MWC) jumped on the Pioneers for three runs in the opening inning.

(LEARFIELD) DENVER – It was already a blowout when the Brewers scored seven runs in the ninth inning on the way to a 17-2 win at Colorado over the Rockies Wednesday night. Leftfielder Jackson Chourio hit his fourth home run and knocked in five. Grant Anderson picked up the win in relief Wednesday night. Brewers manager Pat Murphy said it was a good night for the Brewers offense.

(ST. NORBERT COMMUNICATIONS) DE PERE – St. Norbert College fell in its final non-conference doubleheader of the season to nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh, falling by scores of 6-0 and 9-0 in a doubleheader at Miron Construction field. Oshkosh scored early in the first game, with three of the six runs coming in the third inning. A two RBI home run in the sixth made it 6-0, which was enough to see out the Titans victory. Zoe Zasada, Addison Race and Morgan Hansel each recorded one hit.
