The United States is the first and only country in the world to put human beings on the Moon. And until this week, it was America’s finest achievement in space. Then came the six bravest women in the history of astronautation: Katy Perry, Jeff Bezos’ girlfriend, and… I dunno, a few other gals with the same hairstyle. Not to mention the most important person who has ever lived: Gayle King. Move over, Neil Armstrong.

WRONG!!!Just like everything else that makes your life more tolerable, it turns out dogs are bad for the planet. Because if something makes you happy, there’s always a miserable, misanthropic scientist somewhere just waiting to tell you why you should be ashamed of yourself. The thing I like most about journalism is the moral authority. Journos are better human beings than the rest of us — morally, ethically, and intellectually — and they’re not shy about saying so. Their views are the correct views, after all. Their political opinions are the North Star. And if you disagree with anything they know to be true about the world, you’re the enemy and they don’t care what happens to you.
