    In a past life, I hung out with petrol heads. It was a love–hate relationship, for I’m not a true petrol head. Sure, I can tell you how many teeth are on the CWP* of the weir LSD** on my Zenki AE86. Still, my membership of this very blokie gang has been driven (literally) by pleasure receptors titillated by speed and adrenalin, not pistons, oil and grease. For me, owning an EV is a practical pleasure and not the dread true petrol heads feel when confronted by a battery larger than their brains.
