El año pasado, los incendios devastaron el Parque Iberá y cerca del 60 % del parque se vio afectado. El equipo de Rewilding Argentina tuvo que reubicar varias de las especies reintroducidas, tales como las nutrias gigantes de río y los guacamayos, a lugares seguros. Este verano también tuvimos incendios, pero el más grande fue en 2022. Tenía que ver con una sequía extrema y el cambio del clima. Claramente esa es la razón por la cual el fuego duró tanto tiempo y fue tan grande y catastrófico.
