Infrared Spectral Characteristics of Asphalt before and after AgingFigure 2 illustrates the FTIR spectra of 30#, 50#, and 70# asphalt before and after short-term aging, long-term aging, and ultraviolet aging. In the functional group region, strong absorption peaks can be observed at 2923 cm−1 and 2853 cm−1, corresponding to C-H bond stretching vibrations.
