1. IntroductionWith the continuous rise in global environmental awareness, automotive fuel specifications and atmospheric emission standards are becoming increasingly stringent. To meet these growing demands, the importance of hydrodesulfurization (HDS) catalysts in the petroleum refining process is steadily increasing.
