1 Introduction The solar-terrestrial space refers to the vast area from above the Earth's troposphere up to the solar atmosphere, including the middle and upper atmospheres, ionosphere, magnetosphere, interplanetary space, and the solar atmosphere. It represents the fourth environment closely related to modern human activities, in addition to the ocean, atmosphere, and land environments.
