Today, I salute retired U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman Stuart Fuke. Originally from Hawaii, Fuke joined the Navy and faced multiple deployments in Okinawa and Afghanistan. In his first week, his patrol suffered a mass casualty event when an IED detonated, wounding several Marines. As a combat Veteran, he has seen a lot, but now, thanks to the Freedom Alliance, a non-profit committed to honoring and assisting wounded Veterans, he is seeing a new future.

Today, the AWESOME is in Williamstown, West Virginia. Manhattan Deming was on her job at DaVinci’s, waiting on a couple at one of her tables who soon started asking questions about her life. She shared with them about her 3-year-old daughter, her goals to be a nurse that have been put on hold while she raises her child. At the end of the meal, the couple paid and changed the trajectory of Manhattan’s life. They left her a $2,000 tip, and Manhattan instantly started crying.

Ever since the release of the trailer yesterday for Stephen King’s “The Long Walk,” it’s all movie fans have been talking about, because Mark is playing the bad guy in the nightmare-inducing movie.
