I was fascinated by artist Holly Nowak's creative journey and was honored she shared her story with us. In her own words. As an artist, wife, mother and fifth-generation native Texan, I find joy in the experimental nature of creation. The process of creating feels akin to being a mad scientist or a chef, as I play with materials, discover new techniques, and embrace happy accidents in my studio. Acrylic, oil, watercolor, gouache, and illustration are among my favorite mediums.

Most of our readers have vacationed on the Florida Gulf Coast.
