I’ve been ordering and trying a bunch of things over the past few weeks—everything from lightweight cardigans and travel-friendly tops to sneakers and summer sandals. With a certain international trip coming up, I’ve been especially focused on pieces that are versatile enough for the plane, city exploring, and relaxed evenings in the countryside. But I’ve also been shopping ahead for summer here at home. Not everything is a winner, but I’ve found a few gems.

Good morning! I’m back home from Nashville! It was a whirlwind trip to bring my daughter and her car home from college for the summer. She was all packed and ready to go, so we loaded up the car, grabbed dinner at our favorite spot, and got a good night’s sleep at a hotel nearby before hitting the road. It’s about a 12-hour drive from Nashville to Philly, so we stopped halfway in Roanoke, VA, to stay with my parents. That definitely made the trip more enjoyable (and easier on my old lady joints).
