Liverpool’s Premier League title lift in 2020 signalled the end of a 30-year wait and the day remains a surreal one to look back on. On July 22, 2020, we all witnessed a moment that, for some, brought to an end a lifetime of waiting as Jordan Henderson hoisted the league title aloft. For the first time since 1990, Liverpool were champions of England and there was an outpouring of emotion as our collective dreams came true, even if had to unfold in an empty Anfield due to the pandemic.

Liverpool are just one result away from securing the club’s 20th league title and the reaction in the tunnel after the win at Leicester is a mirror image to our own realisations. Three points. That is all the Reds need to defy expectations and be crowned Premier League champions. Liverpool are tantalisingly close to the Premier League title and Arne Slot has made two changes for his side’s trip to Leicester this afternoon. The Reds are just six points away from being confirmed as the champions of England, while Leicester will be relegated to the Championship if they fail to win at the King Power. The stakes are high and Alisson will be eager to keep his first clean sheet since the trip to Paris against a side who have scored the second-fewest goals in the division (27).

Joe Gomez makes a step forward in his injury recovery and Tyler Morton is back training with the first team after shoulder surgery. Leaves Trent, Bradley and Gomez as only players not in full training. https://t.co/0W8qmcQMBL

Not surprised by what’s come out re. Trent Alexander-Arnold but it changes nothing when it comes to what it’ll mean for his Liverpool legacy. For @thisisanfield: https://t.co/J3FeyJcfOu
