Bill Lee has proposed a new statewide voucher program that would offer $7,075 in public funds to 20,000 students to attend a private, independent school or to be used to support home schooling. Joanne Golann has been named the new director of the New Jersey Families Study, a video ethnographic examination of how families support their children’s early learning. Golann is associate professor of public policy and education at Vanderbilt Peabody College of education and human development and co-principal investigator on the study’s research team. She has been a member of the team since earning her Ph.D. at Princeton University, where the study is based.
