Whether you read my top 30 prospect list or other prospect content that I cover here, or you listen to The Mets Pod -- where we go down on the farm every single week -- you’ve heard all about Jett Williams, Nolan McLean, Ryan Clifford and Jonah Tong, among other top prospects in the organization. While having high-end prospects is certainly important, the true sign of a strong player development infrastructure is the depth of a farm system.

SNY's Joe DeMayo answers your Mets prospect questions... One name that stands out is 20-year-old outfielder/second baseman A.J. Ewing. SNY contributor Joe DeMayo answers fan questions in this edition of the Mets Minor League Mailbag... For me the answer is RHP Brandon Sproat, who was my No. 2 ranked prospect in my most recent update from November. While I do believe there is a chance that my No. 1 prospect, INF/CF Jett Williams, could make his way to Queens this summer, there are more obstacles in his way.
