Over three years ago, a trio of children and their dad disappeared into the New Zealand wilderness, with their current whereabouts remaining unknown. Back in September 2021, New Zealand man Tom Phillips took his three children, Jayda, Maverick and Ember, and vanished with them for 19 days. When they returned, he said he'd just taken his kids on an impromptu camping trip, but their disappearance had triggered a significant police search and Phillips was charged with wasting police resources.

A 68-year-old man who has spent 38 years in prison for murder has had his conviction overturned thanks to new evidence. Peter Sullivan is believed to be the UK's longest-serving victim of a miscarriage of justice, and he had spent 17 years attempting to get his conviction overturned. Sullivan was convicted of the murder of 21-year-old Diane Sindall, a barmaid who was found dead in Bebington, Merseyside, in August 1986.

Declan Donnelly, the 'Dec' in Ant and Dec, once discovered that he had a long-lost cousin who was pretty famous for what she did for a living over in the US. Given how sprawling the branches of family trees can be, you and I probably have distant relatives who have ended up in all sorts of interesting situations. Ant and Dec once decided that they'd like to see how far their branches go and where exploring them will lead, and made a show called Ant and Dec's DNA Journey.

The family of a 31-year-old woman who died after being diagnosed with a rare form of dementia have just run the London Marathon to raise money for charity in her honour. Gemma Illingworth died on 27 November last year after having been diagnosed with posterior cortical atrophy (PCA) in 2021.
