At the end of the week sometimes, I like to take the load off enjoying a cold one, and that's generally some cheap domestic beer I'll buy. I typically don't drink seltzers, mixed drinks like margaritas, wine, or really any of that stuff... I do like the occasional shot, though. At a bar, I'll probably order some bomb or drop variety to dilute the taste, and at home it's all about the chaser.

It was a cold opening day for our Cleveland Guardians at home in their sold-out game against the Chicago White Sox. The first exhibition pitch of the year at Progressive Field hit the catcher's glove around 4pm, and as of then we're officially up and at it again All sorts of fun stuff went down up by the lake at the stadium celebrating Northeast Ohio's return to Baseball, and a big huzzah goes to the home team on their unusual victory. Baseball's back, baby!

This week, on Thursday it's our 4th Annual Think Pink Party for Bosom Buddies with Drew Baldridge and Dylan Schneider at the Akron Civic Center's Knight Stage. This is always a very special event, celebrating our program with Cleveland Clinic Akron General which provides free mammograms for those in our community who otherwise couldn't afford this vital health service. You can support the cause through buying tickets here, with more information on all this there too.

In any relationship, you'll have some differences. Maybe you won't agree on certain household policies, where to go out for dinner, or what color to paint the living room. My fiancée and I can be like that sometimes, especially when it comes to what to watch. She likes Dance Moms and I like South Park, or she likes The Challenge when I prefer Cops. It's a good thing to contrast as such, to an extent. She's turned me on to some awesome shows I wouldn't have watched otherwise, and vice versa.

It's the year of our town's bicentennial celebration, and I love Akron. We're a medium midwestern city that was built up around the rubber industry in the 20th century, and at the helm of this urban expansion was a polymer manufacturer by the name of Goodyear.
