For the second time in its life, Michael Schumacher’s F2001 has become the most expensive Ferrari F1 car ever sold at auction, after going under the hammer for £13.4m big ones (or about P100.56-M) in Monaco this weekend. Rewind seven-and-a-half years and this exact chassis fetched about half that – $7.5m, or closer to $10m today – when it became the most expensive F1 car in history.

Kimi Antonelli has rocked up to the Imola Grand Prix with dozens of his classmates in tow as VIP guests for the weekend. Give that man an A+ immediately. Lego has really outdone itself this time. Three years on from its incredible but very stationary full-size F1 McLaren build, the world’s premier manufacturer of barefoot hazards has constructed 10 fully operational F1 cars for the Miami Grand Prix. Obviously, they’re not for racing—although you have to wonder if Sauber might be keen—instead bringing a bit of novelty factor to the drivers’ parade ahead of this weekend’s race. ‘Hang on,’ we hear you say.

Williams driver Carlos Sainz looks set to be fined for the second week running after dropping an (undeniably amusing) expletive in an FIA press conference in the build-up to Sunday’s Bahrain Grand Prix. Last weekend, the Spaniard was fined €10,000 (P647,440) for missing the start of the pre-race national anthem in Japan, having had a stomach bug that caused an unplanned pit stop… in the toilet.

Oscar Piastri summed it up perfectly after the highlights reel in the cool-down room ended painfully quickly. “That’s all the highlights?” asked the puzzled Aussie. “For a race that felt like it was pretty flat out, nothing happened.” He wasn’t wrong. There was only one overtake in the top 10—Lewis Hamilton’s early move on RB’s Isack Hadjar—and outside the points, the most places anyone gained was four, with Jack Doohan lifting his hastily repaired Alpine from 19th on the grid to P15 at the flag.
