House Bill 368 and Senate Bill 218 seeks to remove legal notices from newspapers and place them on government websites. Websites run by the government themselves. That is a recipe for disaster.

By the time this goes to print, we will either be calf-deep in snow or thanking the infamous Bowling Green bubble that seems to give us a different weather pattern than our neighbors in all four directions. My money is on my favorite meteorologist Landon Hampton, the founder of the weather blog WXorNotBG (Weather or Not Bowling Green).

I have never been a big fan of Halloween, except for the early 80s during college when it was an opportunity to party hard and dress as Baby New Year, complete with diaper, sash, top hat and holding an oversized pacifier filled with bourbon. But, in college, wasn't every holiday a reason to party? Halloween, Hallows' Eve or All Saints' Eve, is a celebration observed in many countries on Oct. 31, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day.
