A beautiful start to the day in the region with sunshine and some clouds scattered about the area. Once again the winds, which are light right now, will be increasing again today…and gusts over 30 MPH are likely into the afternoon before the winds back off as the sun starts setting this evening.

It’s a bright and crisp start to our Tuesday here in KC today as temperatures dropped into the mid 20s to near 30 today and we had a light freeze in the region. The skies though are bright and sunny and with the early April sunshine working for us today, we should warm up nicely…still a bit below average but overall rather pleasant. The forecast is also pretty dry for awhile.

Note before we dig in…I’ll be taking some time off tomorrow and Monday heading out to Arizona to go check on my mom…so no blog on Monday. A longer time off is about a week away so only a couple of blogs next week. The good news is that the severe weather is done for us for quite some time. The bad news is that temperatures are trending cool for awhile…probably through next Tuesday before we start warming up quickly heading into the middle of next week.
