    Despite loving Disney’s Tron all my life, I came away from last year’s Tron: Identity feeling thoroughly underwhelmed. What the short, narrow visual novel lacked in meaningful choices, it made up for in boring puzzles. One thing it did well however, was introduce us to the Arq Grid, a dying system abandoned by its Users, full of factions vying for control in the face of a coming disaster.

    When Grounded 2 was revealed at the Xbox Showcase last week, a few eyebrows were raised at the claim it would build and expand upon the world introduced in the first game. Grounded is the Big Spider Game, how much lore is there to even build on? Of course, anyone who did their time in the backyard knows there’s a lot more going on that just big ol’ bugs (or rather, normal-sized bugs and small ol’ humans).

    Us Magic: The Gathering players are an immature lot. We see a card like Sinister Starfish or Armada Wurm, and we can't help but titter. Fortunately, the German-language release of Final Fantasy has put a new arrow in our quiver with a new amusing translation to snort at. The card is none other than Final Fantasy 10's protagonist, TIdus. In English, his name is Tidus, Blitzball Ace, reflecting his status at the start of the game as a sports star.

    Play with overlooked cards in Commander for unique strategies and surprise value. Even jank can be playable if you're committed enough. Maybe not Wood Elemental, though. On paper, Magic: The Gathering's Commander format is where you can play with just about any of its over 25,000 cards. The weird, the wonderful, the janky, they're all up for grabs. In reality, though, you're likely only really playing in a pool of a few thousand truly viable cards, which can lead to some repetition.
