It is a much drier start to the day compared to the first half of the week! While skies will look a lot drier, we are going to still see a chance for some stubborn showers in the next few days. The upper level low that has kept rain swirling in the area for the past several days is starting to move out. Skies will look mostly cloudy today and some stubborn moisture will hold tight. We could see a handful of light showers by the afternoon and evening, but some of us will manage to stay dry.

We’re already starting off with a few spotty showers. Rain chances pick up as we head through the course of today. Thankfully, this will be the final day of solid rain from the lingering system in the area. Rain chances will pick up as we head into the late morning and afternoon. We’re looking at pretty widespread coverage of some light to moderate showers. Towards the evening, rain chances begin to taper off, but we could see some isolated storms begin to pop up.

While it is a dry start to the day, moisture at the surface is causing a lot of issue with visibility. Once we get to some clearer weather here at the ground, rain will start to work it’s way back into the area. Dense fog is pretty steady for the majority of Central Ohio. Many places are starting off with visibility of less than a mile. A Dense Fog Advisory is in place for the middle corridor of the state and a few places to the east through the morning.

Today is another Storm Team 4 Weather Alert Day with the risk for severe weather remaining steady. We’re watching a few rounds moving in for the second half of today, some with a better potential of getting stronger. We’re watching a cold front sink into the area towards the second half of today. It moves fairly slowly, so there will be building chances for wet & stormy weather as the day goes on. Our first round of storms will remain fairly spotty & isolated.
