After more than 60 years of church ownership, the Greene Hills Camp at Barree in Porter Township is now under private ownership. As Greene Hills reopens this spring it is being transformed into a year-round destination after many seasons of use as a summer church camp. The results of the 2023-2024 Huntingdon Area School District audit are in — and the grade is excellent. “The Huntingdon Area School District had an unmodified opinion, which is the best review you can get from an audit,” Dave Scott of the Young Oakes Brown Company accounting firm based in Altoona told the Huntingdon Area School Board at the March 17 monthly meeting.
