The Commodores eked past South Carolina on Wednesday. Nashville – South Carolina forward Nick Pringle caught it in stride and looked to punch it home to end this one as you could feel the air starting to come out of Memorial Gymnasium, then Devin McGlockton happened. McGlockton just seemed to swung at Pringle's dunk attempt and connected to force South Carolina into a shot-clock violation. He wasn't done, though.

VIPVanderbilt head coach Clark Lea's program engineered one of college football's best turnarounds in a 7-6 season that came in the fallout of a 2023 season in which the Commodores finish 2-10 and experienced a mass exodus. Lea's program had to do some soul searching at that point, but ultimately landed a transfer portal class that changed the attitude within the program.
