Saldívar fue arrestada y finalmente condenada por el asesinato en 1995 de la cantante tejana Selena Quintanilla-Pérez en Corpus Christi. Saldívar le disparó en un hotel. Saldivar was arrested and eventually convicted for the 1995 murder of Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez in Corpus Christi. Saldivar shot her at a hotel. Monday, March 31, will mark 30 years since Selena’s death.
Police chase ends in shooting, fire in downtown San Antonio

A police chase in downtown San Antonio ended Thursday afternoon with officers shooting and killing one suspect and injuring another as the getaway vehicle crashed into a building and caught fire. Assistant Chief Robert Blanton said officers attempted to pull over a driver in a stolen vehicle on Commerce Street.

Krampus took over Southtown and San Antonio’s King William neighborhood last night for the city’s first ever Krampus parade. Scores of horned demons marched down King William, some on stilts, with lanterns or whips, along with a few familiar Santa’s, before a massive crowd of thousands of curious onlookers. Joining them were witches, curanderos and more classic depictions of St. Nicholas.
San Antonio restaurant Mixtli awarded coveted Michelin star rating in first-ever Texas guide

Mixtli on South Alamo Street in Southtown is one of the first 15 one star recipients in Texas and the only one in San Antonio. The star ratings from Michelin are among the highest restaurant ratings in the culinary scene across the world. Mixtli, pronounced as “meesh-lee,” means ‘cloud’ in the Aztec language of Nahuatl, is the creation of chef’s Diego Galicia and Rico Torres who both received Michelin chef coats during the awards ceremony in Houston on Monday night.

Incumbent State Rep. John Lujan won re-election for Texas House District 118 during an election night that heavily favored Republicans in close races. Lujan defeated Democratic challenger Kristian Carranza with 51.7% of the vote. This marks Lujan’s second victory during a November election. In 2016, Lujan won the seat during a special election but lost in the 2018 midterm elections.

A 63-year-old man was arrested for assaulting a 69-year-old Bexar County election worker at the Johnston Library polling site on Thursday night. Deputies arrested Jesse Lutzenberger at his home shortly after the incident. A sheriff’s report said Lutzenberger was wearing a red "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) baseball cap at the polling site. An election worker asked him to remove it, and Lutzenberger complied.
