CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - It may be a new month but it’s the same old weather. More sunshine, more warm temperatures and more need for a soaking rainfall. None of those are going to change any time soon. Expect a sunny day today with highs in the mid 80s inland, 70s at the beaches. A weak cold front will slowly push through the Southeast over the upcoming days attempting to bring rainfall to the Lowcountry. First up will be a small chance of a shower or thunderstorm late Friday.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A stalled front across the Southeast will aid in the development of showers and thunderstorms beginning today. Spotty early morning rain will give way to a lull in the activity through the mid morning hours. Starting at lunchtime, go ahead and grab the umbrellas just in case. Isolated early afternoon rain will give way to an increase in shower/storm coverage by late afternoon and into the evening.
