1 INTRODUCTION Long-lasting goods can provide services with fewer resources. The longer materials stay in active use, the less material intensive the economy becomes. Product longevity allows for slowing resource loops, making it a fundamental element of concepts for circular economy (Bocken et al., 2016) and sustainable consumption (Cooper, 2005).
