Some cars have a fun factor that just can’t be measured, and the Volkswagen Jetta GLI Autobahn certainly fits the bill. Don’t forget to push the clutch pedal in when you try to start up the turbocharged four-cylinder engine, because this one packs a six-speed manual transmission. It’s a slick and forgiving gearbox that makes this Jetta a blast to drive. Mine was hard to miss in metallic red with optional black wheels.

What happens when you “borrow” some of the DNA of a Land Rover Defender, and maybe mix in a little Cybertruck styling to boot? The result is this boxy and tough-looking Hyundai Santa Fe, which further looks the part in optional matte gray paint. This one is the high-end Calligraphy edition, in hybrid form. Still, this compact SUV is all about the basics, which you may or may not like. For instance, the driving experience is very connected.

Forget the electric motors, the first thing you’ll notice about the Honda Prologue Elite is its interior. This top-of-the-line version of Honda’s electric SUV features snazzy brown and black leather seats and a panoramic sunroof that brings light to both the front and back rows. But back to the lead on this car, which is that it’s an EV. In fact, it’s a joint venture with General Motors, which shares a platform with the Chevy Blazer EV.
