    PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Pittsfield man was arrested Wednesday night following a domestic violence incident in which a firearm was displayed and later discovered to be stolen. According to the Pittsfield Police Department, at approximately 9 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called for service involving a domestic altercation. Upon arriving at the scene, they identified the suspect as Terrell Ortiz, 45, of Pittsfield.

    PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) – A serious crash in Palmer shut down both directions of the Mass Pike near mile marker 64.5 in Palmer Thursday afternoon. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation, I-90 eastbound, has since reopened to traffic. However, the westbound side remains closed at the crash site as investigators continue to process the scene.

Gulluni issued a formal statement Wednesday following a judge’s ruling to grant a new trial for Edward Wright, who was convicted in 1985 for the murder of 25-year-old Penny Anderson in Springfield. Wright’s conviction, which has stood for four decades, is now being reconsidered after a Hampden County Trial Court judge ruled in favor of a new trial.
