A hearing care assistant at angli-EAR Hearing in Great Shelford has returned from a life-changing trip to northern India where she volunteered her time and skills in the rural Himalayan village of Sainji. As part of her apprenticeship with Anglia Ruskin University, Kirstie Eley joined a small team of volunteers to support communities with limited access to healthcare.

Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) launched its 30th birthday celebrations with a gathering of fundraisers and hospital staff – all directly involved with the charity’s work – with a party at Fitzbillies in Cambridge. To mark the milestone, Fitzbillies hosted the celebrations at its shop and tea rooms in Trumpington Street on 15 May and unveiled a special window display which will be there for customers to see until September.

Presented by The Sainsbury Laboratory Cambridge University, the exhibit was part of a new GreenSTEM section celebrating cutting-edge research and innovation in the world of plant science. The eye-catching exhibit was a collaborative effort across multiple Cambridge institutions and partners.
