What happened: Council approved supporting Elizabethtown College in its efforts to apply for two grants that would complete a pedestrian walkway on Campus Road, construct an outdoor fitness and recreation area, replace two elevators on campus and renovate the bathrooms in its 1960s-era Thompson Gymnasium, according to Bob Kerin, vice president of operations for the college.

The purchase includes a power pack and controls. Background: The new unit will replace an electric grinder for the plant that was approved last year for $18,000, which was found not to fit upon installation. That sale was canceled before payment was made. What’s next: Delivery is expected in about six weeks.
