2.5 DMR-associated genes and AD risk genes After determining the methylomic contributions to gene and protein expression, we investigated correlations between individual DMRs and gene or protein expression. A gene was correlated with a DMR if it was significantly correlated with the DMR at a Benjamini–Hochberg (BH)-adjusted P-value < 0.05. We took the union of all the genes with significant positive correlations with a given DMR as the DMR-positively associated gene signature (PAS) for that DMR.
