Kentucky men's basketball will face a premier school from the state of Indiana next season, and that's on top of its regular season game against the Hoosiers. The Wildcats announced that they will face off against the Purdue Boilermakers in preseason exhibition play, a major step up from last season's preseason contests against Kentucky Wesleyan and Minnesota State-Mankato. The exhibition is scheduled to take place on Oct. 24 inside Rupp Arena.

Those players can make more money in college and gain more for their profile than a potential trip to the G League to continue development.

The 6-foot-4 star out of Our Saviour Lutheran School in the Bronx has elected for a homecoming after his freshman year at Chapel Hill, where he earned All-ACC honors after averaging 11.9 points per game on 46% shooting from the floor and 40% from 3-point territory.
