Troops of the 167 Battalion’s Operation Fadan-Yamma of the Nigerian Army deployed to Sabon-Iche in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State have reportedly neutralised two bandits, recovered 22 rustled cows at Chigwalu village in Kachia LGA of the state. According to reports, a resident of Kagarko, Ibrahim Ahmed, said the incident happened on Saturday, when bandits, in their large numbers, wielding AK-47 rifles, attacked four Fulani settlements and rustled over 400 cows.

The management of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria has ordered the immediate closure of Al-Ansar Indabo female students’ hostels located at Hotoro and UDB Road in the Kano metropolis over safety and disciplinary concerns. A statement issued by the university’s Vice President, Campus Life, Dr Hamza Garba announced the withdrawal of its approval for the use of the hostels following reported violations of its code of conduct.
