Cypress Hill rolled up on a cool and breezy May night in Toronto. Bringing with them a legendary hip-hop lineup to Coca-Cola Coliseum that included The Pharcyde and De La Soul. Hip-hop heads young and old were in for a high time. The Pharcyde got things started with a concise set of classics. Fans went wild for the big hits Oh Shit, Passin’ Me By and Runnin’. I was grateful to be able to see De La Soul live.

I was 17 in the summer of 1992. While visiting family in Shediac. New Brunswick, my cousin and I decided to go to the Bryan Adams Waking Up The Nation tour that was happening at Parlee Beach August 16, 1992. No disrespect to Bryan Adams but we were only really interested in seeing The Steve Miller Band. One of the bands scheduled to play the festival wasn’t able to perform (I think it was Arc Angels). As fate would have have it, an up and coming band from Halifax would fill in.
