A bicyclist died at the hospital after a crash on Pembroke Road in Hopkinsville Monday afternoon. Hopkinsville Police say an eastbound SUV hit four bicyclists between Pennyrile Parkway and Eagle Way. Two women who were on bikes were taken by Hopkinsville EMS, one with CPR in progress to Jennie Stuart Health before she was later flown to a Nashville hospital, the second woman was taken right away to a waiting helicopter that took her to a Nashville hospital.

A Christian County man was arrested on a warrant charging him with several charges including assault and voyeurism Thursday afternoon. Hopkinsville Police say they arrested 52-year-old Matthew Baker on a warrant charging him with intentional unlawful use of a tracking device, eavesdropping, fourth-degree assault, first-degree strangulation, first-degree stalking, video voyeurism, distribution of sexually explicit images without consent, and two counts of violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO.

A man was charged after a high-speed pursuit that ended in Christian County Wednesday night. Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy Zach White says they joined Kentucky State Police who were in pursuit of an SUV driven by Tyler Kozlowski around the US 68 exit The pursuit reportedly reached speeds of 130 mph. The pursuit reportedly came to an end at the 76-mile marker with White using a precision immobilization technique to stop Kozlowski’s vehicle.

A Hopkinsville man was charged with possession of drugs during a traffic stop on Pembroke Road in Hopkinsville Friday night. Hopkinsville Police say at 7:47 pm they stopped a vehicle driven by 49-year-old Kenneth Herbert for failing to turn on his headlights and during the stop, found he did not have a driver’s license and had an expired registration.

The Pembroke Fire Department announced Monday they received a grant for a new training facility. Pembroke Fire Department Chief Nick Belair told Your News Edge the $50,000 grant was awarded by the Kentucky Fire Commission. The full cost of the project will be around $250,000. He said the next steps are ensuring the process follows state fire commission rules and regulations to start receiving bids, permits, and other paperwork before the groundbreaking, hopefully by next year.
