On average, car insurance consumers saw a 7.2% increase in premiums in 2024 compared with 16.4% last year and 12% in 2022, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence’s RateWatch data. Car insurance premiums are outrunning inflation and squeezing household budgets. Car insurance premiums have been steadily increasing since 2022.

David’s Cookies will hold an event marking the opening of a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at 11 Cliffside Drive in Cedar Grove on June 9, from 9 to 11 a.m. The event represents a $25 million capital investment and the creation of more than 1,000 jobs at three locations in New Jersey. The company planted its flag in New Jersey in 1989 with an 8,000-square-foot facility in Fairfield. It now has three manufacturing sites totaling 360,000 square feet in the Garden State.
