Trump said in a wide-ranging press conference in the Cabinet room at the White House on Tuesday that he would “love to” defund both NPR and PBS. “I think it’s very unfair, it’s been very biased — the whole group,” Trump told reporters. “The kind of money that’s being wasted, and it’s a very biased view.” The push is part of the president’s larger attempt to use his administration to punish media outlets he does not like.
