Mr. Jayne (“Bridge funding, Reagan’s reach,” The Columbian, April 16) now resorts to smearing Ronald Reagan in an attempt to cover up the ineptitude of our local elected leaders. While not 90 percent funding, it’s certainly possible to build a $3.6 billion bridge in 2023 without tolls. Ask the folks in Kentucky and Ohio. Each state drops $1 billion and the feds are dropping $1.65 billion.
