It’s late September and he was dumped by a criminal group the night before, another victim of a power struggle that is ripping through Mexico’s Sinaloa drug cartel.

Dajabon, Dominican Republic – It is a scene that repeats itself at the Dominican Republic border town of Dajabon twice a day: A queue of Haitians fills the street, trailing across a couple of blocks and ending at a crossing where soldiers are stationed. Our documentary Children of the Darien Gap has just won an Overseas Press Club award. The judges called it “Powerful, poignant, and meticulously reported.” Was quite inspiring to go to the ceremony, see all the other top draw work being recognized and to be alongside it. https://t.co/aXUTnbRAJk

Loving a bit of the AIB award ceremony last Friday, representing the Children Of the Darien Gap team. We got a 'highly commended' which was quite enough for me to repost the docu here: https://t.co/jccC6fp7d4 https://t.co/ZosQuXocJ7
