BENTON, Ky. – Major League Fishing has announced the details for the 2024 Team Series, which kicks off August 25-30. The series is comprised of four events featuring two-man teams of Bass Pro Tour pros competing from the same boat and working together to claim part of a season purse of more than $720,000.

Unified Pros, Inc. has announced Mark Davis as tournament director for their Ultimate Angler World Championship. Davis will play a critical part in shaping what the organization is billing as "the first true world championship bass fishing tournament." He will oversee tournament operations, including rules officiation, organization, preparation and the execution of the event. “Mark Davis is a bass fishing legend,” said Danny Groves, chairman of the board for Unified Pros.

The 2023 Bass Pro Tour season was a rough one for Luke Clausen, and 2024 didn't start out too great, either. Since the opening event this year, however, the veteran from Washington, who was once one of the biggest stars in the game, has been rock-solid. Clausen has compiled five straight Top-25 finishes to climb to 14th on the points list with one derby remaining.

Major League Fishing (MLF) and Brunswick Corporation announced today a multiyear sponsorship renewal. The renewal ensures that longtime MLF sponsors Mercury Marine and Lowrance continue as official sponsors of the MLF Bass Pro Tour, Team Series and Heavy Hitters all-star event. Lowrance and Mercury Marine both became sponsors of MLF first in 2011, when they signed on as original sponsors of the very first Challenge Cup on Lake Amistad, which featured only 24 professional anglers.
