    ST MUNCHIN'S College booked their spot in the Pinergy Munster Schools Boys Senior Cup quarter-finals after an exciting 28-27 win over local rivals Ardscoil Rís at Thomond Park on Wednesday afternoon.  Adam O’Shaughnessy’s late try and Oisin Madden’s conversion saw Munchin’s secured a dramatic win after a thrilling contest.  The Corbally side will now play another Limerick school, Castletroy College, in their quarter-final of the Senior Cup.

    LIMERICK'S ladies footballers began their season with a 0-14 to 2-6 loss in their Lidl National Football League Division 3 clash with Down in Mungret St Paul's GAA Grounds on Sunday afternoon. A strong third quarter from the visitors was crucial in this opening round game as they overturned a three-point half time deficit to lead by five. Limerick rallied in the final stages with a Roisin Ambrose goal but it was Down that held on for the opening day win.

    Limerick’s began life in Division 3 of the Lidl Ladies Gaelic Football National League with a 0-14 to 2-6 loss to Down in Mungret this afternoon. The home side held a 1-3 to 0-3 advantage at half time with Rebecca Delee’s goal proving the difference in the opening half. However, Down bossed the third quarter of the game – scoring 10 points without reply to hold a seven-point advantage.

    Limerick Masters football manager Anthony McCarthy has revealed his backroom team for the coming season that includes a number of high profile additions. John Ryan, who managed Limerick ladies to All-Ireland glory in 2018, has come on board as coach of the team for 2025. Ryan’s addition to the coaching team is a big coup for McCarthy and the masters committee who are heading into their third year of existence.
