Australia’s Chris Kovarik was one of the downhill world’s biggest stars in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. Kovarik was looking like he was going to win the overall World Cup title in at least two of those years when his luck turned sour, and Kovarik suffered injuries that ended his chances of winning the overall title. Judging by what we’ve read about Kovarik, it looks like he has been one of the key people involved in training the top Australian downhill racers after his own racing days ended.
