Stay Up to Date on the Parcel IndustryUnlike freight shipping, which moves goods in large quantities (whole truckloads or shipping containers, for example), parcel shipping moves individual goods essentially one at a time (usually by truck or plane). While both focus on the movement of goods, transportation methods, level of service, and cost can be very different between the two services.

The weekly Department of Energy/Energy Information Administration price declined 6 cents a gallon Tuesday to $3.579. Only a 6.2-cents-per-gallon decline on March 3 has been larger in 2025. Even with the big selloff in stocks today, so far there are no #logistics or #trucking stocks that have hit new 52-week lows, as yesterday's surge has not been wiped out. Biggest percentage loser at almost 2 pm Eastern is $ARCB, down 10.8%. https://t.co/iHYCAhnAS9

Low for the day on the ultra low sulfur #diesel contract on CME was $1.9373/g. The high was $2.1345. The settle was $2.0384. Imagine trying to set wholesale prices after going through that. And wholesale prices beget retail prices. Good luck in forecasting fleet fuel costs. https://t.co/BGBRFzdlLs

At about 7:25 a.m. Eastern, ultra low sulfur #diesel on the CME was trading at about $1.966/gallon, down about 9.1 cts/g from the prior day, or about 4.4%. If it settles there, it's the lowest settlement since 5/3/21 settle of $1.9519/g. Retail prices have a long way to fall. https://t.co/K1n2zQov3Y
