    Lionsgate will release the psychological thriller The Surfer, starring Nicolas Cage, through digital retailers starting June 6. It is being offered as a premium VOD rental for $9.99, or digital purchase for $14.99. The VOD price will drop to $5.99 starting July 15. In the film, directed by Lorcan Finnegan, a man (Cage) returns to the idyllic beach of his childhood to surf with his son — only to be thwarted by the locals’ hardcore “don’t live here, don’t surf here” rule.
