Danny O’Mahony has assembled a squad that has a bit of everything that is needed to win at the highest level. And they showed it all in their fantastic 94-92 win over a Killester side who were hoping to do the double. Demons are SuperLeague champions and deserve the title as the best team in the country. No one can argue they are not that.

The City youngster - who had been due to join Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim - has unfortunately been forced to hang up his boots due to a diagnosis that causes abnormal thickening of a part of the heart muscle.

    The Topper Boys Basketball hosted the Moriarty Pintos in Griffith Gym Friday night in a conference game. The Toppers struggle in the first half as the Pintos ran up the score but as the Toppers took to the court for the second half, they found their groove and overtook the Pintos as the score went back and forth for the entire second half. In the closing minutes of the game the Pintos hit a couple of critical scores and pulled ahead to win the game 49-45.

    Safe to say UCC Demons three professional players Patrick Robinson, Elijah Tillman and Toby Christensen will not be sending copies of this Pat Duffy National Cup final to their agents for distribution. Put simply, they were awful and the fact that UCC Demons were still in the final early in the fourth quarter was down to their Irish players Dave Lehane, Kyle Hosford and James Hannigan.
