There are some basic rules for living with others we learn early in life, either in our family, school or religious community. Some of these early rules seem as self-evident commandments, usually negative ones — don’t play with your food or don’t pull the dog’s tail. We learn to obey these rules or suffer the consequences, usually being asked to go to our rooms and turn off our cellphones.. Sometimes breaking rules ends with both verbal and physical punishments.
