The Office of Public Accountability has released financial audit reports on the Guam Power Authority and Guam Waterworks Authority for fiscal 2024, with both receiving unmodified, or clean, opinions on their financial statements. Auditors did not identify any material weakness or significant deficiency regarding compliance and internal control for GPA, but did identify one significant deficiency for GWA.

The Public Utilities Commission has approved the contract change that would allow for additional testing of the new power plant in Ukudu, which the Guam Power Authority requested to mitigate load shedding before the new plant comes fully online in September. "With system demand spiking to 265 (megawatts) on May 09, 2025, the highest since Typhoon Mawar, and a few key units offline for maintenance, Guam remains at elevated risk of load shedding during the island’s hottest months.

Science is Fun and Awesome Learning Academy Charter School, better known as SiFA, has agreed to vacate the property it had been using as a school campus by the end of June amid a dispute with its landlord, Eagle Land Holdings LLC. SiFA and Eagle Land have been engaged in legal battles over the use of the company's property in Tiyan. The two entered into a lease contract in 2017, which included utilities, supplies and services for SiFA.
