All the rage here to open his account, the son of Frankel was supported from 6/4 to 8/13f.

    Having finished runner-up on his two most recent starts, the Johnny Murtagh trained Iceford registered a first career win when staying on strongly to take the Revamp Restoration And Conservation Handicap at the Curragh. Ben Coen held the 5/1 chance up off the strong pace, as Gangsta Man and British raider Shameful went head to head up front. The latter looked to have put the race to bed under Colin Keane when kicking on over a furlong out, with his nearest pursuers hard at work in behind.

    Goal Exceeded made a winning start to life with trainer Ado McGuinness when staying on strongly to take the QuinnBet Handicap at the Curragh. Successful in a Naas juvenile maiden for former connections, the son of Iffraaj had run well on a number of occasions subsequently, despite often flattering to deceive. Off the track since October, the four-year-old proved that he goes well fresh when recording what was just the second success of his career.

In a race that revolved around the very well backed 2/1f Lord Church Ryan Moore was content to watch on from rear as the market leader tracked Serialise in the initial stages.

    Field Of Gold made up for an unlucky defeat in the Newmarket equivalent when quickening up impressively under Colin Keane to easily win the Group 1 Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas at the Curragh. Trained by John and Thady Gosden, the son of Kingman had been sent off market leader for the first colts Classic of the season having landed the Craven Stakes on his reappearance. However, on the day, he had to make do with second, as Ruling Court stayed on well to hold his late run by half-a-length.
