The 151st running of the Kentucky Derby takes place Saturday night at historic Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky.The race is scheduled to start at 6:57 p.m., but it doesn't always go off on time. Still, be sure to claim your seat on the couch at your cousin's party well before then in case it does start as scheduled, especially since the race only lasts two minutes. Who is the favorite? ARLINGTON, Texas — It didn't take long for Las Vegas oddsmakers to install Ohio State as a heavy favorite over Notre Dame in the Jan. 20 national championship game. The Buckeyes defeated Texas, 28-14, in an exciting Cotton Bowl in Dallas on Friday night. Minutes later, MGM listed OSU as a 9.5-point favorite over the Fighting Irish. The game is scheduled to be played in Atlanta and will be televised on ESPN. The Buckeyes swept a home-and-home series with Notre Dame in 2022 and 2023.
