Perhaps proving that things are not necessarily better the second time around, Rally’s has closed its remaining San Bernardino locations. The chain previously had two locations — on Base Line and on Highland Avenue — in the city from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. The resurgence began in 2020, when Rally’s opened a location in a former Church’s Chicken at 494 S. Mount Vernon Ave. That was followed in early 2021 by a location in a former Sonic Drive-In at 1150 N. Waterman Ave.
