1. IntroductionNeuroendocrine neoplasms are rare neoplasms arising anywhere in the body that are mainly located within the gastroenteropancreatic (GEP) tract [1]. Neuroendocrine neoplasms are divided into two groups: neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) and neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs) [2]. NETs differ from NECs based on their morphology and prognosis [3].
